1. How does illusion differ from delusion? Do you agree? Why?

2. According to Buddhism, what is the self?

3. According to Buddhism, what is the sixth sense?

Solution

Illusion and delusion are distinct concepts. Illusion results from some type of sensory distortion which interferes with our ability to perceive reality correctly. Illusion is external as it is caused by certain types of stimuli in the environment. However, delusion occurs from internal beliefs that have no basis on reality. Delusions stem from our own thinking and are not related to any external stimulation.
