If each vertical division 5 mV and each horizontal division

If each vertical division = 5 mV and each horizontal division= 20 ms find:
a) the period,
b) the frequency and
c) the voltage amplitude for the signal below.

Solution

The period is the time that the wave begins to repeat itsself.
Starting on the left side of the graph. The periodbegins to repeat 9 horizontal squares later.
Each square is 20 ms, there for the period is
T=9*20ms
T = 180ms
The frequency is the recipical of the period.
f = 1/T
f = 1/180ms
f = 0.00556 Hz
Voltage amplitude. Amplitude is the distance from thex-axis to the highest point on the graph.
It goes up two squares, each square = 5mV, therefore:
A = 2*5mv
A = 10 mV
