how are transgendered and intersex individuals treated cross
how are transgendered and intersex individuals treated cross-culturally? How has this treatment changed in the last few decades? What do you believe should be done with a child who is born intersex? Should decisions about the course of action be the parents’ or the child’s?
Solution
The transgender and the intersex individuals are not treated well cross-culturally. They do not face the same behaviour of people towards them. People doesn\'t give them the desired respect and right to live. In the initial years, they were not legal according to the government. They feel themselves alone, dejected. Some cultures being open accepts them but most of the cultures of the world doesn\'t accept of them. They do not approve them.
In the last few decades, more number of people are coming up in front and admitting their intersex and transgender identity. They became more brave as they have also got support form the government of some of the world economies. They can now officially get married, or stay together. Their acceptance level is also increased in our society.
Children with intersex, parents of those children, should be treated in an open, supportive, and honest way. Parents as well as teh children should consistently be told the truth about them. Children and adults with intersex, and their family members, should be provided with access to trained psychologists and social workers, especially when they are in distress Parental distress should not be treated with surgery on children. Proper counselling of teh family shpuld be doen. Care providers should also attempt to connect children and adults with intersex and parents of children. Peer support saves families and lives.
