Why are virtually identical forest types sometimes found at very different elevations?
Solution
Virtually identical forests can be found at different elevations if there are similar environmental conditions in those areas. The conditions that infleunce forest formation are temperature, moisture, soil quality. Regions with similar land cover are known as ecozones.Ecozones exist due to different places possesing similar climatic conditions. Therefore if two places at different elevations have similar climatic conditions there will be similar forest cover in these places.
