passive agglutination used to detection of minute amounts of antibody , very sensitive method for antibody detection and also in antigen are not found in the cell surface.Antigens on a carrier molecule or inert particle (RBC, latex or charcoal) combine with patients sample and cause the particle to agglutinate act as passive carriers of antigens

used for detection of antibodies for virus-cytomegalo virus, rubella antibody,varicolla-zoaster and HIV-2/HIV-2.

Also used in various testing-pregnancy,H.pylori testing,rheumatoid fever, C reactive protein testing,rubella, thyroglobulin antibody
