Find the slope-intercept form of the line which passes through the points P(-1,0) and Q(-4,6).

Solution

slope intercept form of equation : y = mx+c

i) slope of line = ( 6 -0)/(-4 +1) = 6/-3 = -2

ii) find c i.e. y intercept

plug one of the points: (-1,0)

0 = -1*(-2) +c -----> c= -2

y = -2x -2
