Find the lengths of the missing sides in the triangle Write

Find the lengths of the missing sides in the triangle. Write your answers as integers or as decimals rounded to the nearest tenth A. x = 5 7, y = 6.9 B. x = 6.9, y = 5.7 C. x = 11.3, y = 8 D. x = 8 y = 11.3

Solution

Since pythogoras thoerm can be appled here( it\' a right triangle)

x^2=8^+y^2

But given one of the other angles is 45, the 3rd angle will be ?

180-45-90 = 45. right?

2 angles are equal (45), the 3rd being 90.

So,

y=8

The only option which has y=8 is option C
