Solution

The Co-ordinates of the library are (0,0) and the co ordinates of the school = (7,7)

The slope = (y2 - y1)/( x2 - x1) = (7-0)/(7-0) = 1

We can find the equation of the line using the slope point form which is y-y1 = m (x - x1). Therefore,

y - 0 = 1*(x - 0)

Therefore y = x, is the equation of the line.

Note, we could have used the other set of co ordinates, with the same slope. y - 7 = 1 * (x -7)

Therefore y = x - 7 + 7 or y = x. We would have got the same result.
