Find two solutions of each equation Give your answers in deg

Find two solutions of each equation. Give your answers in degrees (0° < 360°) and in radians (0 < 2). Do not use a calculator. (Do not enter your answers with degree symbols. Enter your answers as comma-separated lists.) SIN=1/2 AND SIN=-1/2

Solution

SIN=1/2

= sin^-1(1/2) = pi/6 , pi-pi/6 ( as in i s+ve in Ist and IInd Quadrant)

= pi/6 , 5pi/6 (radians) for   (0 < 2)

= 30 , 150 (deg)

AND SIN=-1/2

= sin^-1|(-1/2)

sin is -ve in IIIrd and IVrth quadrant

= pi+pi/6 , 2pi -pi/6 = 7pi/6 , 11pi/6

= 7pi/6 , 11pi/6 (rad)

= 210 , 330 (deg)
