Find limx rightarrow 3 x2 9 2x2 7 x 3 numerically Numeri

Find limx rightarrow -3 x2 - 9 / 2x2 + 7 x + 3 numerically Numerically: (Round to 4 decimal places) Find limx rightarrow -3 x2 - 9 / 2x2 + 7 x + 3 algebraically Do the two methods yield the same answer? Explain.

Solution

algebraically,
it is (x+3)(x-3)/(2x+1)(x+3), x+3 cancel out, so, at x tending to -3 gives 6/5 = 1.2
Numerically, the results come quite close to 1.2 with nearly 0.0001% error which shows that the value actually tends to 1.2 as we get closer and closer to -3
