Solution

We know that

Sum of any two angles is 90⁰ are said to be complementary angles

Given that

The measure of one angle is 24⁰ more than 21 times the other

Let one angle = x⁰

Then

Second angle = 21x + 24⁰

x⁰ + 21x + 24⁰ = 90⁰

22x = 90 - 24

22x = 66

x = 66 / 22

x = 3⁰

One angle x = 3⁰

Second angle = 21x + 24⁰

= 21 . 3 + 24

= 63 + 24

= 87⁰

Therefore,

Smaller angle = 3⁰

Larger angle = 87⁰
