Two anglers complementary If the measure of one angle is 24

Two anglers complementary. If the measure of one angle is 24 degree more than 21 times the other, find the measure of each angle. Part 1 out of 2 The measure of the smaller angle is.

Solution

We know that

Sum of any two angles is 900 are said to be complementary angles

Given that

The measure of one angle is 240 more than 21 times the other

Let one angle = x0

Then

Second angle = 21x + 240

x0 + 21x + 240 = 900

22x = 90 - 24

22x = 66

x = 66 / 22

x = 30

One angle x = 30

Second angle = 21x + 240

= 21 . 3 + 24

= 63 + 24

= 870

Therefore,

Smaller angle = 30

Larger angle = 870
