Can the peak to peak ripple current, IL, of a inductor be measured using an oscilloscope? I am doing an assignment on the buck- boost converter using Multisim.
Solution
Cathode ray oscilloscope(cro) is a voltage oriented device varies with respect to time. We cannot measure directly current but by using voltage and resistor we can find unknown current value ( I.e peak to peak) using ohms law V= RI
And another easy way is clamp on current probe with an oscilloscope.
