A and B are events with PA034 and PB055 Find the probablilit

A and B are events with P(A)=0.34 and P(B)=0.55

Find the probablilities if A and B are disjoint (AnB=0)

a.) P(AnB)

b.)P(AUB)

c.)P(A n not B)

Solution

A and B are events with P(A)=0.34 and P(B)=0.55

Find the probablilities if A and B are disjoint (AnB=0)

P( A n B) = P( A) *P(B) = 0.34*0.55=0.187

b.)P(AUB)

P(AUB) = P( A) +P(B)- P( A n B)

=0.34+0.55-0.187 =0.703

c.)P(A n not B)

P(not B) = 1- P(B) =0.45

P(A n not B) = P( A)* P(nB) = 0.34*0.45 =0.153

A and B are events with P(A)=0.34 and P(B)=0.55 Find the probablilities if A and B are disjoint (AnB=0) a.) P(AnB) b.)P(AUB) c.)P(A n not B)SolutionA and B are
