Vitamins are the biomolecules required by the body to do physiological process. It is categorised in two types (a) Fat Soluble vitamins (b) Water soluble vitamins. Fat soluble vitamins are stored in body and not excreted as easily as water soluble vitamins. vitamin A, D, E and K are fat souble vitamins whereas Vitamin B complex and C are water Souble vitamins. Role of different categories of viamins and their example food are given below:

Vitamin A : Required for good vision, Skin and immune system health. example: Apple, Dark green vegetable.

Vitamin C : work as antioxidant, Good for teeth, immune system. example : citrus fruits.

Vitamin D: Required for absorption of calcium, good for strong bones. example : cod liver oil.

Vitamin E : Antioxidant, good for healthy skin. example: soybean, green vegetable.

Vitamin K: Need for proper blood clotting. example : green vegetables, milk etc.

Vitamin B12 (Folate): Required for the process of making red bllod cell. example : Liver, Legume, green vegetable.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) : Required for proper body metabolism. example : Meat, Fish, Cereals.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) : Required for energy metabolism, normal skin. example : Milk and milk products.
