Use the following information to compute the cost of goods manufactured: Beginning raw materials Ending raw materials Direct labor Raw material purchases Depreciation on factory equipment Factory repairs and maintenance Beginning finished goods inventory Ending finished goods inventory Beginning work in process inventory Ending work in process inventory $7,000 5,500 13,750 8,900 8,000 4,800 11,700 10,400 7,200 7800 O $37550. O $38,150. O $36,950 O $36.350. $44,150
Solution
Dear student, only one question is allowed at a time. I am answering the first question
Cost of goods manufactured
= Direct Materials used + Direct labor used + Total manufacturing overhead + Beginning work in process Inventory – Ending work in process Inventory
Direct Materials used = Beginning raw materials + Raw material purchases – Ending raw materials
= $7,000 + $8,900 - $5,500
= $10,400
Total manufacturing overhead = Depreciation on factory equipment + Factory repairs and maintenance
= $8,000 + $4,800
= $12,800
So, Cost of goods manufactured
= $10,400 + $13,750 + $12,800 + $7,200 - $7,800
= $ 36,350
So, as per above calculations, option D is the correct option
