The following table contains currentvoltagc pairs of points
The following table contains current/voltagc pairs of points as determined from experiment to verify Ohm\'s Law. Use graph paper and plot these points as voltage vs. current Does this device follow Ohm\'s Law? How do you know? Determine the value of the resistor used in this circuit.
Solution
A)
The Curve will come out to be straight line between Current and Voltage
with slope around 10.2 ohm
B)
As the slope of the curve is constant from the graph, So, Voltage is proportional to current
So, It follows Ohm\'s Law
Also, it can be observed:
slope of the curve, s1 = (-2.32-(-1.847))/(-0.227-(-0.18))
= 10.06 = 10.1
For another set of points on the curve:
s2 = ((-1.847) - (-0.721))/((-0.18)-(-0.070))
= 10.2
Similarly we can always see for any two points on the graph the slope will be approximately same
So, as s1 is nearly equal to s2. So, it has constant slope and thus it follows Ohm\'s Law
C)
Value of resistor,
R = slope of the curve = V/I = s1 = 10.1 <---------answer
