Objective: Over the next several laboratory sessions you will develop the necessary skills to measure, acquire and analyze a simulated ECG signal. The ECG signal will be acquired under a variety of conditions ranging from simple amplification with minimal noise to that requiring more extensive signal processing methods. The principles and methods you will master over the next several laboratory sessions can be applied to many other data acquisition and signal processing applications that you are likely to encounter elsewhere. The specificaims of these lab oratories will be to: Develop familiarity and experience using a high precision instrumentation amplifier and supporting circuitry. Explore basic features, configuration, setting gain and offset adjustments. Design considerations. Develop skills in the design and use of analog high and low pass passive as well as active filters based on the Sallen-Key circuit. Design considerations. Become familiar with data acquisition hardware and software using LabVIEW and digital signal processing using Matlab. Issues of resolution, sampling rate, range including data acquisition and recovery pitfalls. Develop skills related to digital filter design and implementation. Develop digital signal processing techniques and methods for signal extraction and analysis. Develop a real-time data acquisition processing system for detection of abnormal heart activity.
Solution
The Main Objective of this lab is to test and enhance the knowledge of graduates on Signals and their processing by using the Amplifiers and filter circuits
Experiemental conclusions may performed by using Simulating Softwares like MATLAB
From the experiemental results we can conclude the signal properties like Sampling rates,Gains and Offset parameters etc
Mainly here operations are perfomed in digital signals
