Several statistical tests have a way to measure effect size. What is this, and when might you want to use it in looking at results from these tests on job related data?
Solution
Effect size, in Statistics, is a quantitative test of a measure of a phenomenon.
Some ways to measure this are
i) Correlation coefficient
ii) Regression line
iii) Mean difference, etc.
In fact, effect size serves as a complement for hypothesis testing and hence plays an important role, in statistical power analysis, sample size and meta analysis.
