What is the effect of an increase in operating current of transmission line with essentially the same operating voltage? Effect:
Solution
For the same operating voltage of a given transmission line, if current carrying capacity can be increased so the power handling capacity of the transmission line also increased but coducter core can not withstand beyond the current rating of the transmission line. Current increases much more than the rating of transmission line conducted can be melted so that the open circuited fault existed on the transmission line. So can not operate the transmission line with high currents.
