Calculate the power absorbed by each element in the circuit in Fig. P1.45. Also, verify that Tellegen\'s theorem is satisfied by this circuit.

Power absorbed by element 1----V*I=5*5= 25 W

Power absorbed by element 2----V*I=5*1= 5 W

Power absorbed by element 3----V*I=10*4= 40 W

Power absorbed by element 4----V*I=-5*3= -15 W

Power absorbed by element 5----V*I=10*1= 10 W

Power absorbed by element 40 V source----V*I=-40*5=-200 W

Power absorbed by element 4 A source----V*I=30*4= 120 W

Power absorbed by element 15 V source----V*I=15*1= 15 W

According to tellegen\'s theorem algebraic sum of all the powers in a circuit should be zero

i.e 25+5+40-15+10-200+120+15=0 so tellegen\'s theorem is verified and circuit satisfies it
