Pretend you need to give directions to a patient to get them into a specific position. Usuing only words, explain to one another how to perform the following actions:

1. Flexion and extension

2. Rotation

3. Abduction and adduction

4. Pronation and supination

Use your own wording. Use simple, clear directions. Use specific body parts and muscles as examples (elbow, him, knee, quadriceps, biceps, etc.).

Extetion:

when hip or shoulder move arm backward , standing up ,stretching joint straight. Lean forward.

2.Rotation:move the arm away from body,move the arm closer to your body.

3.abduction and adduction:rising of arm up and returned to down,

Drop arm to side,bring knee together.

4.Pronation:rotational movement where the hand and upper arm are turned inwards. Pronation of the foot is turning of the sole outwards.

Supination:when the forearm or palm are rotated outwards. Supination of the foot refers to turning of the sole of the foot inwards.
