both epithelium and connective tissues are important for body organization.

connective tissues are loose i.e. have less number of cells and more space for matrix. it has a network of blood vessels. epithelium tissues have more number of cells i.e. it is tightly packed and donot have blood vessel.

epithelium tissues form surfaces and lack blood vessels so it remain near to connective tissue to get nutrient and for gas/waste exchange.
