x^2+y^3=1

If the given point were to lie on the curve, then when the

point (2,-1) is substituted in left hand side of equation - it should give value of 1

Now substituting x = 2 and y = -1 in the LHS of equation

LHS = 2^2+(-1)^3

=4+1

= 5

This is not equal to 1

so the point does not lie on the graph of (2,-1)
