Solution

v1 = 5i j, v2 = 7i + 6j

a) Dot product v1.v2 = 5*(-7) + (-1)*(6) = -35 -6 = -41

b) To find angle between the two : cosx = (v1.v2)/||v1||.||v2||

= (-41)/(sqrt26)*(sqrt85)

= -41/47

= -0.872

x =pi - cos^-1(0.872) = 180 -29.27

= 150.73 = 150deg 44 min
