Consider the circuit of a complementary-BJT class B output stage. For what amplitude of input signal does the crossover distortion represent a 10% loss in peak amplitude?
Solution
We know that in a class B complementary BJT the percentage of nth harmonic destortion is
%D=(An/A1)*100
where An is amplitude of fundamental frequency and A1 is amplitude of the highest harmonic or Peak amplitude
in our problem it is given that the the distortion represented by the peak amplitude is 10% therefore the the amploitude of input signal is [(A1)/100] = 10 therefore amplitude of input signal is 10.
