I am in the beginning Stats class and we have a project due soon... my project is comparing pricing of Costco to another local grocery store to see who has the better prices. I have already gone out, picked 30 items and done the price sheet and broke it down by the ounces, pound or each of the items chosen. I need to be able to run some stats on it but honestly, have no idea which stats would work for this. Any suggestions?

Solution

You can made different graphical representations to compare the prices of two different shops.

and add a refernce line at y=0. if the curve is always >0,then we can conclude that price in the 1st shop>price in the 2nd shop or similarly if the curve is always <0,then we can conclude that price in the 1st shop<price in the 2nd shop.
