Explain how multiplexing is used with the AddressData lines
Solution
A.Multiplexing is describing that sending one or more analog or digital signals through a transmission line at different speeds or different time.
Multiplexing means combining the large number of siginals to one signal but it will happen at where the address lines and data lines comes to this .
Address is latched through ALE ALE is ahigh active pin .when we supplies a high active plus to this ALE pin at that time the pin get activated.ALE is activated then it demultiplexes the lower address bus from that the lower address/data bus.
The latch function is to receive and store signals on the single set of pins when the latch is triggered and send those signals out another set ofpins.
Even when the input signal is ends or input signal is changed.
so for that purpose latching is useful.
B.
The three tpes of memories are
1.RAM
2.ROM
3.Flash memory
RAM:
RAM stands for the random access memory .
RAM is generally used in Microprocessor can read from the RAM and write to the RAM.
ROM:
ROM stands for read only memory.
IT is a permanent memory.
Generally ROM is useful for reading ,the microprocessor can read from the rom but cannot write or modify it.
Flash:
It can work both as the RAM and ROM.
C.
Tri states devices are different modes including invert their inputs Enable can active when high when enable is set low.
Generally buses contains several parallelwires each carry a one bit of data to the device and from the device.
If multiple blocks of RAM use same pathway to write the data .we cannot avoid the rule in a combinational logic circuit.
one way to avoid the issue is by using tri state devices to insulate buses from simultaneous and writes the data.
