This assignment is intended to help you reflect on each of the concepts that were reviewed leading up to this exam.
Week 1
1
History of Psychology
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
I found very interesting to know simply what Psychology means and know that Wilhelm Wundt established the first psychology laboratory at the University of Leipzig, Germany. Also, learning about Freud, it was kind of weird because he was an important person in Psychology, but many things about him have being proved wrong.
2
Critical Thinking
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
3
Research Strategies
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
Week 2
4
Neural and Hormonal Systems
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
5,6
Brain Structures & The Cerebral Cortex and our Divided Brain
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
11
Neural and Hormonal Systems
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
Week 3
7
Brain and Consciousness
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
8

Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
10
Drugs and Consciousness
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
Week 4
13
Developmental Issues, Prenatal Development and the Newborn
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
14
Infancy and Childhood
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.

Solution
Ques-1:
Describe one concept/idea with which you can connect. This could be something you found challenging, something you found interesting, something you found hard to believe, etc.
I found very interesting to know simply what Psychology means and know that Wilhelm Wundt established the first psychology laboratory at the University of Leipzig, Germany. Also, learning about Freud, it was kind of weird because he was an important person in Psychology, but many things about him have being proved wrong.
Answer: Wilhelm Wundt established the first psychology laboratory at the University of Leipzig, Germany & he described that History of psychology is mainly based on skepticism, critical thinking and inquisitiveness. Structuralism It is the main psychological prospective identifying various human brain structures responsible for various functions. Scientists such as Wilhelm Wundt is founder of this phenomenon. Scientists such as Sigmund Freud have explained that the human behavior is mainly due to unpleasant and unconscious stimuli pressing regarding an expression.
Psychology: This is the fundamental study of the behavior about the various species including various truths of human life around all behavioral, cognitive and work dimensions. History of psychology includes various scientists, behaviorists, who analyzed human behavior from birth to death.
Functionalism: William James is the founder of this phenomenon in which human mind is responsible for various cognitive and behavioral functions in adaptation to the external environment.
Behavioral approach & behaviorists: Behavior psychologists have illustrated that the organism interaction with mental perspective to the external environmental determinants mainly through visible perceptions within the environment finally implementing thoughts and feelings.
Behaviorists: psychologists who espouse behavioral approach in explaining organism behavioral aspects are called behaviorists. Various scientists are behaviorists who explained human behavior according to environmental stimuli. Sigmund Freud
Cognitive approach & cognitive psychologists: It is the process of learning memory- based aspects from preconcrete and concrete level to plan and implement goal & creative directed behavior to resolve a particular problem.
Theories of distribution and justice:
Mill’s Utilitarianism
Rawls’s Justice as Fairness
Nozick’s libertarianism
Theories of attention:
Broadbent early selection model: This is the early attention selection model, which is mainly associated with perceptual process in which the filter eliminates some of the unattended information “at the initial stage of the flow of information. The evidence of this attention order is --> | | --> S System -----> --> | - -->P system (slow of attention) ------> Response System
Treisman attenuation model: In this type of perception model, it has clearly illustrated that the order of the perception process of all information is processed. However, some of the stimuli of attention attenuated by the filter.
Order of this model: => | | (information stimuli) --> => S system =====> => | | --> P system (filter system) ====> Response system
Deutsch-Norman memory selection model (crying baby phenomenon): In this theory of attention & perception information is processed in which filter is meticulously after the perceptions. The evidence of order of perceptions is this selection model is highly efficient and all the information do not go through filter in full strength (Switch ears experiment)
Kahneman capacity model: This is the capacity model in which multiple attention resources of information filtered in an order & mainly useful to examine with duel task modalities. For instance, this capacity model includes specific information processing steps in which “primary encoding followed by central processing, finally “responding,” (ex. driving and talking at the same time in which visual versus auditory information processing occur). Spatial and verbal interference may occur
Wickens multiple resource models: This is the model in which visual and spatial sensory modalities are processed from multiple attention sources finally obtain codes of representation in an order. This attention perception model explains automaticity & it is a controlled process.
