Selection coefficient: selection coefficient refers to sum of all factors that prevent the contribution of particular phenotype in fitness i.e. the factors that prevent the reproductive success.
Heritability: It measures the degree to the genetic causes determine the variance in the distribution of a phenotype. It is represented by ratio of total genetic variance to the total phenotypic variance.
Response to selection is defined as difference between the mean phenotypic value of the progeny of parents and that of parental generation. Here, the phenotypic value is calculated before selection.
