Determine the area under the standard normal curve that lies

Determine the area under the standard normal curve that lies between (a) Z = -0.32 and Z = 0.32, (b) Z = -1.02, and (c) Z = -1.82 and Z = -0.27

Solution

a) Z = -0.32 and Z=0.32..

look, here from the table you have identified for Z= -0.32 , area = 0.3745..

then what is the area under Z = 0.32???...it is (1 - 0.3745)...

and what is the area between Z = -0.32 and Z=0.32??..It is = [ (1 - 0.3745) - 0.3745 ] = 0.251...

b) The area under Z = -1.02 is....0.1539..and area under Z=0 is 0.5...so, area between this two is
= 0.5 - 0.1539 = 0.3461...

c) the area under z = -1.82 is...0.0344.....and area under z =-0.27 is 0.3936...
so, area between this two will be???
= 0.3936 - 0.0344 = 0.3592....

...

 Determine the area under the standard normal curve that lies between (a) Z = -0.32 and Z = 0.32, (b) Z = -1.02, and (c) Z = -1.82 and Z = -0.27 Solutiona) Z =
