If you have an odd number of inverters in a ring, what will it do? If you have an even number, what does it do?

Solution

A odd number of inverters in a ring results in two stage of output with delay. Where as even number of inverters gives single stage output with delay.

Implicant is group of Variable in K-map which are formed by grouping adjacent cells whose value is 1. If a implicant variables are circled more than once then this group of variable can be neglected and remaing implicants are know essenential prime implicants. Where as prime implicants are essential prime implicants plus neglected implicants.
