Flip a coin 200 times.
1.tell the type of coin you flipped and how you flipped it(what method of flipping you used, for instance, did you flick it into the air with your thumb and finger? Did you put it into a cup and shake it up and drop it on the desk?
2.Record the result of each flip in order.(You must include the list of results with your work.)
3.Compute the cumulative frequency of heads for each of the first 30 flips, and for each of the last 30 flips. The cumulative relative frequency of heads is computed as the ratio
(the number of heads that have shown so far)/(the number of flips so far)
Note that when computing this radio, you include ALL of the heads that have shown so far and All of the flips so far. So for example, computing for the 180th flip, if there had been 97 heads in those 180 flips, the cumulative frequency of heads for the 180th flip would be 97/180.
4.Make a graph showing these cumulative relative frequencies for the first 30 flips, and a separate line graph showing the cumulative frequencies for the 30 flips.( See the textbook in the discussion of the Law of Large Numbers for an example.)
5.Describe how your results compare with what the Law of Large Numbers says about these relative frequencies. Do you results seems to agree with the Law of Large Number or not? Why or why not?
