Solution

We are given the quadratic equation 2x² = 3x + 5 or, 2x² -3x - 5 = 0 or, 2x² -5x + 2x - 5 = 0 or,

x(2x - 5) + 1(2x - 5) = 0 or, (x + 1)(2x - 5) = 0. Therefore, either x+ 1 = 0 i.e. x = -1 OR , 2x - 5 = 0 i.e. x = 5/2
