VLIW means Very Long Instruction Word. It is suitable for desktop computers rather than mobiles.Because it is processing architecture of computer where a program instrucction is broken into basic operation by language complier or pre processor. It is an alternative for exploiting instruction level parallelism in programs. It is a successor to RISC. The main function of VLIW is to remove the complicated instruction scheduling and parallel dispatch which causes in microprocessors. VLIW is a processor which is faster and les expensive than RISC chip.
