When undertaking the isometric routing of pipe, list four (4) objectives you would have for routing of the pipe work.
Solution
It is difficult to draw pipe in the orthogonal view as pipes usually don\'t lie on the same plane. The pipe need to be manufactured by the manufacturer so the view should be in such a way that provides sufficient information to the manfacturer for construction of the piping system.
While undertaking isometric routing of pipe following points should be taken in consideration.
1. The entry and exit of the pipe is visible to a certain extent of satisfaction for the manufacturer.
2. Bends should be visible in the view, if not then provide multiple views for pipes having multiple bends.
3. Distance from entry and exit source of the piping should be clearly defined.
4. For complex piping system draw one pipe at a time with sufficient views. For simple pipe just 2 views are sufficient.
5. All pipes should be clearly labeled and shown in respective assembly. Without proper labelling and assembly drawing it will be difficult to arrange and assemble the piping system.
