GENERAL SEQUENCE OF TREATING SURFACE WATER:-

Suface water - Normal Sedimentation - Coagulation - Filteration - Disinfection - Supply

*Mostly Suface water contain suspended particle so for removing suspended particle Normal sedimentation is done.

*Coguation is done for removing colloidal particles.

*Filteration is done for removing dissolved solids

*Disinfection is done to remove pathogens

GENERAL SEQUENCE FOR TREATMENT OF GROUNG WATER:-

Ground Water - Aeration - Softening - Filteration - Disinfection - Supply

*Aeration is done by applying oxygen to water which remove CO2 & H2S.

*Softening is done to remove excess Hardness.
