Is it possible for a single power transformer to operate at one time as a step-up transformer and at another time as a step-down transformer? Explain why.

Yes its possible for a single power transformer to operate at one time as a step up transformer and at another time as a step down transformer. If you give supply to high voltage winding then it acts as a step down transformer and if you give supply to low voltage winding then it is step up transformer.
