The problems that handoffs are causing:
1.Miscommunications between the one business unit to another.:The data maybe transferred from one business to another for a purpose but the receving unit may not get the write instructions on how to handle it.
2.A wrong message can delay or lead to a total failure of the business process.
3.The commands may not be written on a paper and the company wont know what to do with the data.
4.There can be handoffs when the organizaton might execte wrong input or follow the wrong ways to process it.
In order to eliminate the handoffs:
1.Face to face interaction must be there between one business unit to another.
2.Written information should be provided before face to face communication so that both units can understand each
other.
3.The brieifing should be concise and to the point.
4.The teams should be brought together and the matter should be dicusses rather than getting it done by a middle representative who might manipulate the information. This will help is reducing handoffs.
