Norman suggests organizing screens and menus functionally, designing commands and menu choices to be distinctive, and making it difficult for users to take irreversible actions. Norman also says to provide feedback about the state of the interface (e.g., changing the cursor to show whether a map interface is in zoom-in or select mode) and designing for consistency of actions (e.g., ensuring that Yes/No buttons are always displayed in the same order). State one example you have seen where you know these rules have been violated. Although this is crucial to a user interfaces success, suggest why there may be challenges to implement some of Norman’s guidelines.
Solution
In some gui interfaces like for eg if a company making a software for oil and gas industry. there will be surely many fields so surely the user interface will be more likely to be complex as more number of fields are required in a user interface, will look complex and surely not every norman rule can be followed in it. Some things must be compromized in this software.
the challanges which are to be faced are like
1) Designing complexity surely will increase due to the fact of perfection.
2) Time consumption will surely be more cause logic can not be created in a single day.
3) Maintainance of the software will be high enough cause due to complex logic or structure.
Constraints means restrictions are the most complex part as determining ways to restrict user for a particular area or thing. constraint in the interface like for eg limiting the field val, limiting if a user putting a wrong choice or violating the rule like in the field of character putting integer value. time consumption clearly to think every aspect and then start the designing phase.
visibility is also one of the complex part . the more visiblle function the more bulky or heavy the interface will become.
