Solve the following triangle a 1 b 18 alpha 26degree Conv

Solve the following triangle: a = 1, b = 1.8, alpha = 26degree. Convert the rectangular point (-3, 3) to polar coordinates.

Solution

a=1,b=1.8 ,alpha=26 degree

using sine law

sin alpha/a=sin beta/b

sin26/1=sin beta/1.8

sin beta=1.8 sin 26

Beta= 52.1 degree

gamma=180-alpha-beta=101.9 degree

sin alpha/a=sin gamma/c

sin 26/1=sin 101.9/c

c= sin 101.9/sin 26

c=2.23
