Why are Governments less corrupt in Democratic Systems than in Authoritarian Systems?
Solution
The democratic system gains its power from the people and the head is always accountable for every decision it takes. The government with its head is accountable to the citizens of the nation. each member of the legislature is considered to be equal. The authoritarian system on the other hand has given the head exceptional powers to take decision and is not answerable to the legislature. he works independently and all other members of the legislative body are his subordinates and he is the sole authority to approve policies, programs and day to day sanctions. This is the root cause of corruption in the authoritarian system. In the democratic system every action of the government is evaluated by the legislature and every member of the legislature has equal right to suggest changes, improvement or even ask for clarification on expenditure of the government. The authoritarian system is opaque where noone can subside the decisions of the president
