Explain what is meant by a positive relationship between two variables and a negative relationship between two variables.

Solution

Positive relationship means that the two variable tend to grow together, i.e, that when one variable increases, the other tends to increase as well. NEgative relationship is the opposite of positive, i.e, when one variable increases, the other tends to decrease.
