Solution

(a)

In independent measures design, reseacher need two independent samples. Since there are 10 scores for ach treatment and there are 2 different treatments so total number of subjects is 2*10=20.

(b)

In repreated measure design same subject is used under different conditions. So number of subjects participated in the study is 10.

(c)

Here two subjects are matched and reseacher randomly assign one treatment to one of the subjects in the matched pair. So total number of subject in the matched pair are 2*10=20.
