You want to use gel electrophoresis to separate a mixture of DNAs but you don\'t know whether you should use agarose gel electrophoresis or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The size of the DNAs is in the range of 300 nucleotides therefore both gels appear suitable. However, you also know that the specific DNAs need to be separated at 50 degree C otherwise they form many different structures. Which of the two gel electrophoresis techniques should you use?

Solution

At the tempetarute specific electrophoresis, it is always better to choose PAGE instead of Agarose. It also gives best resolution for smaller polynucleotides when compared to Agarsoe gel. 8% of PAGE will be suitable for you.
