Give a definition for optimum performance. Would that definition change as you look for a personal computer at home versus helping your employer purchase a web server to accept customers\' orders over the Internet.

The word optimum means the best use of a Particular Product or Service, and the word Performance means the actions or process of performing a task or function.

So Optimum Performance means to perform a task so efficiently to get the Best use of the Product.

Now relating it to a Computer, the Optimum performance of a computer is needed, so as to make the best use of the Computer System while performing a task.

According to me the Performance of the System which has to handle web Server and accept customer\'s order over the internet, must be high as compared to a personal Computer.
