Give a definition for optimum performance. Would that definition change as you look for a personal computer at home versus helping your employer purchase a web server to accept customers\' orders over the Internet.
Solution
The word optimum means the best use of a Particular Product or Service, and the word Performance means the actions or process of performing a task or function.
So Optimum Performance means to perform a task so efficiently to get the Best use of the Product.
Now relating it to a Computer, the Optimum performance of a computer is needed, so as to make the best use of the Computer System while performing a task.
Getting to the Question would the definition of Optimum Performance Change as we buy a personal pc and suggest an employer purchase a web server to accept customer\'s orders over internet.
According to me the Performance of the System which has to handle web Server and accept customer\'s order over the internet, must be high as compared to a personal Computer. The definition would not change, as the web server computer will have high efficiency in its task so its optimum performance will also increase, that is, it will make the best use of the advanced instruments used in it, but the definition would not affect, yes we can say that the Optimum performance will vary in both the computers.
