Keysers House of Projectiles has developed a new projectile
Keyser’s House of Projectiles has developed a new projectile that is believed to travel further than the old projectile. An experiment has been run testing the old projectile vs the new projectile. The results of the experiment (distance traveled in ft.) is shown below.

Determine with 95% confidence if the new projectile travels further than the old projectile. Clearly state you hypothesis and support you answer with the appropriate test using Minitab. Include the appropriate Minitab outputs.

Solution
Null hypothisis Ho: there is no difference between orld projectile and new projectile
Alternative hypothesis Ha: new projectile is better than old projectile
here we go for paired t-test for difference to two means
t=d-/Sd(1/n)1/2 with (n-1 ) df
t=1.1111/(3.56/(18)1/2)=1.32
P-value =0.1
at alpha =0.05 null hypothesis is accepted
