Using static analysis solve for the knee torque that will pl

Using static analysis, solve for the knee torque that will place this system in equilibrium, given mass of the leg and foot 5.3 kg; distance from the knee joint to the center of mass of the leg-foot system 0.152 m; weight of the barbell 150 N; and distance from the knee joint to the center of mass of the barbell 0.521 m.

Solution

Torque = distance (r) x force

for it to be in static equilibrium the sum of the torques(that are acting in oppsite directions on the knee joint) needs to be equal to zero
