Defination : The rise of internet , outsourcing has become a special need for every company. Tele-communications and Globalization has made an attempt to new mode of communication called virtual communication. Managing these outsourced virtual resouces is known virtula management.The best advantages in this mode of work life is that people need not meet face to face very often. Things can be done through video calls of just telephonic interviews and converstaions.

Types of Virtual Management :

There are 8 categories of virtual teams depending upon temporal distribution, lifespan Objective and role of members.

1.Networking Teams: The networking teams are geographically spread and may have members outside the organization.The time span of a virtual network depends upon the work scheduled. Members can be removed whenever their task is completed. Networking teams are most commonly used by Consultation firms and Technology Companies. LArge and big Companies need to hire efficient staff to meet the client\'s needs.Most consulting firms depend on networking teams for providing quality services to their clients.

2.Parallel Teams : The members are generally assigned to a primary task and they take added responsibility . This team is mainly used to give suggestions and recommend to the organizations. Unlike networking teams, these people stay with in the organization. Sales and Marketing teams branches are often very widely disturbuted. The management take the ideas and recommendations of these teams for local adaption of their products.

3. Product Developemnt teams : These teams are mainly intact with the product specilizatoisn and develolement of the product. Subject matter experts come to gather in need for a special product development. When the manufacturing companies are trying out something new or entering into new market mintaining the brand stream. They call upon and relay on product development teams. Unlike parallel teams,These members dont just refer or recommend a choice, production team members take decisions and take risk.

4. Functional teams : The functional teams members perfom everyday tasks and work independently.These team works for day-day activities.Ensuring solutions to problems ,these teams are usally the solution implemetations teams.recruiting functional HR teams for their clients to give quality services.

5. Service Team: Customer service teams work 24*7 with the help service teams.A employee in India goes to sleep , The other service provider in Maerica takes up the call and answers to our questions.These service teams are placed at very wide range of distances.Each member works independtly but they work in co-ordination.They stand very effective and gives technical support to the company.

6. Action Teams : Members of action team are used for giving solution and they react immediatly to the problem.The team is dipsered once the solution is obtained. They work for very short time span.NASA teams up virtual action teams for a specified problem.

7.Management Teams : The teams are managers of the company that work in different cities and countries . They get to gather to discus corporate level problems and strategies needed to implement the solutions.These teams are often found in companies that work in different cities of the state.

8.Off-shore ISD Teams: Companies outsource a part of the software to other company for reducing production costs.The teams so formed are called low-cost off shore teams.The main usage of this team is to deliver results at very less time and cost.
