List of processes that does not occur in mitochondria.

1. Glycolysis: this is the process of breakdown of glucose into pyruvate. This process does not need oxygen and occurs in cytosol of the cell.

4. Oxidation of fatty acid to acetyl co A : this process is also known as beta oxidation. In prokaryotes, this process occur in cytosol whereas in case of eukaryotes this process occurs in mitochondria.

5. Glycogen breakdown : By this process muscles gets energy and this process occurs in cytosol of the cell.

6. Release of fatty acids from triglyceride. This process occurs in fat cells and with the help of lipase. After formation of fatty acids they move to mitochondria.

Rest all the processes occur in mitochondria.
