a)consider node at Iz,apply kcl to the node

=> sum of current entering the node - sum of currents leaving the node=0

2= 4+Iz-4-5 => Iz=7amps

b) given resistor carrying 2A is 1ohm=> V=-2*1=-2V

for a parallel circuit voltages are same i.e, V=-4*R

                                                              -2=-4*R => R=0.5ohms
